Choosing what to wear for your boudoir session can feel overwhelming—but here’s the truth: you don’t need a suitcase full of lingerie or a certain body type to look incredible.

One of the biggest concerns I hear from women before their session is, “I have no idea what to wear.” The good news? I’ve got you covered. My goal is to help you feel confident, beautiful, and completely yourself from the moment you walk into my Cobourg studio.

Wear What Makes You Feel Amazing!!!

The most important thing you can wear is confidence. If you feel uncomfortable in something, it will show in your photos. Boudoir isn’t about fitting into a certain style—it’s about celebrating who you are.

Some women love delicate lace lingerie, while others feel most like themselves in an oversized sweater, a cozy cardigan, an off-the-shoulder top, an oversized button-up shirt, a silky robe, or even their partner’s jersey. Every session is personalized to your comfort level and style.

You Don’t Need to Buy Anything New

Many clients think they need to spend hundreds of dollars on new outfits before their session. You absolutely don’t.

I offer a carefully curated client closet with pieces ranging from XS to 4X, giving you access to beautiful bodysuits, robes, and other wardrobe options at no extra cost. We’ll choose pieces that flatter your body and fit the vision for your session.

If you already have something that makes you feel amazing, bring it! The most meaningful images often come from pieces that feel personal.

Don’t Forget the Details!

The little details help complete your look. Consider bringing:

● A nude and a black bra (if you have them)

● A matching underwear set

● Knee-high socks or thigh-highs

● Jewelry you love

● A cozy sweater or cardigan

● A white button-up shirt

● A silky robe

● Any sentimental item you’d like included

Freshly moisturized skin, clean nails, and wrinkle-free outfits can also make a noticeable difference in your final gallery.

What Colors Photograph Best?

Classic colours tend to photograph beautifully in my dark, moody studio.

Some favourites include:

● Black

● White

● Emerald green

● Burgundy

● Deep navy

● Soft neutrals

● Champagne

● Rich jewel tones

Lace, satin, velvet, and sheer fabrics add beautiful texture and dimension to your images.

What If I’m Nervous?

If you’ve never done a boudoir session before, you’re in good company. Almost every woman tells me she’s nervous before stepping in front of the camera.

That’s completely normal.

You don’t need to know how to pose or have any modelling experience. I’ll guide you through every pose, every expression, and every little movement from start to finish. My job is to create a relaxed, judgment-free space where you can simply enjoy the experience and see yourself in a whole new light.

Your Boudoir Experience Is About You!!!

There are no rules when it comes to what you should wear. Whether you choose elegant lingerie, an oversized sweater, a cozy blanket, or something meaningful from your own closet, your session should reflect your personality and your story.

The most beautiful photographs come from authenticity—not perfection.

If you’re ready to experience luxury boudoir photography in Cobourg and want a session that leaves you feeling empowered, confident, and celebrated, I’d love to help you create something unforgettable.

With love,
